another break in the list action.....

Graham Harrell - 4747 Yards 41 TD 7 Int. 71.5% comp. 1 Loss

Tim Tebow - 2515 Yards 28 TD 2 Int. 64.9 % comp. 1 Loss

Colt McCoy - 3445 Yards 32 TD 7 Int. 77.6 % comp. 1 Loss

Sam Bradford - 4464 Yards 48 TD 6 Int. 68.3% comp. 1 Loss

So, how did Graham Harrell not make the Heisman Ceremony????

Does anyone have an actual explanation?

It's absolute garbage. There used to be a stigma of running a spread offense, but everyone runs the spread now. He isn't there because he's no a huge rah rah guy like Tebow. Tebow is a good QB, but he's not nearly as good as he's made out to be. All three of the Big 12 QB's are every bit as good and I'd argue that they're all better.

Not that it is right but I think the fact they don't play defense in the Big 12 (1 defense in the top 20 - the SEC has 7), and Harrell got in the spotlight late in the year prevented him from being included. He did not get the benefit of all the preseason hype.

Is it that they don't play defense in the Big 12? Or they don't play offense in the SEC? I mean, honestly, who scares you offensively in the SEC other than Florida? Alabama is awesome, but their offense is average, Georgia is so inconsistent. I mean really, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vandy, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St., Auburn, Kentucky. Where is the offense there? There is none. They're all average to poor. The SEC had a really down year this season.

The Big 12 had 3 teams with similar offenses to Florida's and one OK St., that was still better than Alabama's. The Big 12 north was putrid, but there is some serious offense in that conference that the SEC just can't match.
