What to do.....

Rex Grossman's Last Six Games:
4 Interceptions, 2 Fumbles
0 Interceptions, 1 Fumble
3 Interceptions, 1 Fumble
1 Interception, 1 Fumble
0 Interceptions, 0 Fumbles
3 Interceptions, 1 Fumble

Total - 17 Turnovers

Sure, Rex can have some good games and started the year well but in the last six games has 17 turnovers! Count them! Grossman is the one thing holding the Bears back right now.

So what do you think? Is it time to give Griese a chance???

yeah, they might be 11-0 if it weren't for Grossman's sucky play though! He sure isn't the one that has won 9 games. If it were based on his play they would be about 6-5, maybe.

I don't understand NOT putting Griese in. It isn't like he is some rookie backup with no talent. He is a really good quarterback who may not be a superstar, but he is certainly more consistant than Grossman. I realize that they think they have their quarterback for the future with Rex, but we all know that in the NFL you are on top one year and in the toilet the next. I think they owe it to the superb defense to use the quarterback that gives them the best chance of winning now. That is Griese in my humble opinion.
Besides, there are much worse starting quarterbacks in the NFL right now than Griese (I mean has Kitna EVER been good)?

i didn't say i agreed with it. i just said they weren't going to but in Griese.

what happens when Griese plays and he sucks it up too.

by the way, the last interception that rex threw was terrible. he didn't need to throw that, and he needed to throw it over the recievers back shoulder, towards the sideline.

To quote my favorite movie (Wall Street), "Well, in my book, you either do it right or you get eliminated." Seriously, I have never seen a defense carry a team like this. You certainly can't win it all with Grossman so I say drop him and take your chances with Griese! I doubt they will go with Griese though. Lovie Smith wouldn't make that move at the end of the season like this just to keep his job. Think about it. If Griese didn't do well, then people would only remember all of Grossman's great games and blame Lovie for screwing things up.

is it bad that i'm not that concerned with grossman playing so badly? i mean, on one hand i am. he certainly caused them to lose both games they've lost and has been close to causing them to lose more than that.

but on the other hand, this is the guys first real year starting in the league. he is bound to make some mistakes. not to mention, he is a 'gun-slinger'...which means he is bound to make lots of mistakes. but if he can reign his gun-slinging in, i think he has the ability to be really good. he just needs to mature. and if the bears are good enough to go 9-2 while allowing their quaterback to mature...i'm okay with that.

now with that said, i sure hope he can figure out how to better manage a game by playoff time, or it could be a really disappointing year.
