Don't get me wrong, Dempster is a moron and I've cursed him many a time on the mound...but he didn't, according to the story, actually say "we are going to win the world series" he said "I think we will, I believe we will". I don't see that as a prediction, I see that as hope.
You didn't ask me, but I'm really not sure Dempster to the rotation is a good idea. He's always had the stuff to be a really good starter, but his control is marginal. I think he can be a decent back of the rotation starter, but you have to worry about him holding up over a whole season. He hasn't throw more than 120 innings since 2002.

How do you think Dempster is going to do as a starter this year?
I'm having my doubts about his transition back to a starter...don't think its going to go well. We'll see.
