Two men, two N64 controllers, one classic game and probably a little beer. Only one man walks out alive (more realistically with his pride, actually it might be that neither of us walks out with that).
Nostalgia will rule the atmosphere on Wednesday night as Devin and I suit up to play what is arguably one of the greatest video games ever created.
I've had to physically restrain myself from hooking up the game early to get in some practice time. It hasn't been easy but I want us both to walk in with equal footing for this battle royale.
In college, there were only three video games that mattered.
1. Goldeneye
2. MarioKart
3. Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time
What was it for you???

Jeff - i was actually counting down the minutes until you posted something like that.
Devin - remember the guy i was telling you about who beat the game and went back through it several times to get all the codes? that's Jeff!

wait...no. i was too busy singing and dancing like a fairy in showchoir. thats right.
...and wearing sequins, white turtle necks and pastelle colored jackets. A fine looking outfit. Ok, technically that was junior high.
I was always much better at the missions in Bond. A real pro. I just couldn't hang with Josh in group play. His tactics and precision were overwhelming.
Jeff
I resolved Ocarina of Time a year or two ago. It was a blast, although much easier than the first time I played it. I wish they had Zelda for X Box 360.
Jeff
I have to go with a couple old school games already mentioned - RBI Baseball and Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES. Does it get any better than hitting a homerun completely off the screen with Mark McGwire or rushing for 900-1000 yards in a game with Bo Jackson?! I think not. My roommates and I kept it real in college. Although, one of the guys did have a Playstation. The games of choice for that were Tiger Woods Golf and Driver.

it's tough to argue with that John. Tecmo Super Bowl is one of the greatest games ever made. I LOVE it.
But, my love for it does not compare to yours. How many pages did you record of stats and records just in the last few years???
Unfortunately, when Bryan (brother-in-law) moved out, so did the NES. I still play it from time-to-time when Taryn & I visit her family, but sadly there have been no additions to the 3+ years of records we kept.
