I'm impressed...you waited until after the clock ran out to concede defeat. I think the Bears did that before halftime. I wonder if it will be another 20 years before they return to the game we can't name without the NFL's permission.

randy, yes, for one reason or another the Bears forgot to play in the second half. They were awful. Peyton picked apart their defense and Joseph Addai ran all over them. Not to mention Rex Grossman being the worst quarterback to even play in the super bowl (minus Trent Dilfer maybe). All around sad game.

But I'm happy for Peyton. I'm glad he can enjoy being one of the best quarterback's of all time and not being called this generations Dan Marino. I'm sure this is a huge relief to him.

What a glorious day.
Sorry your team lost. I agree, for some reason they didn't play with any attitude in the 2nd half.
I thought they should of ran the ball more. And lets give Rex a little more credit...it is his first year starting. I think the rain killed him...and Indy's speed.

It seems that Grossman lost his self-confidence, which is deadly at this level of play. I was actually surprised that Peyton was named MVP, but I'm not sure who I'd have given it to; I didn't see any real standouts after the opening kickoff. It was really a pretty balanced game on both sides of the ball for both teams. Nothing beautiful, though I love seeing football in real weather like that. If only the field had gotten a little muddier; there's nothing like a mudbowl!

balanced? i totally disagree with you on that one. Indy had the ball more thus resulting in more plays, more first downs, more runs eating away at the clock, thus resulting in more points. total plays were 81 to 48. the bears longest drive was 2:22. the colts had 7 drives longer than that, including a 13 play 7 and 1/2 minute drive to open up the 3rd quarter.

I see why you guys lost. You NEVER, EVER buy a conference champion t-shrt and wear it while watching the BIG game.

You only buy a conference champion t-shirt after it goes on sale upon the winning (or losing) or the aforementioned big game). By doing htis you show that you are happy with "getting to the game" not with winning.

This faux pas is always costly, like being caught singing along witht he National Athem during the SUper Bowl.

You, as a Cubs fan, should have been more careful not to junx the team (it is now my opinion that the Bears lost because there were many more Bears fans wearing such shirts).

sorry
