8 books that were an unfortunate waste of trees

1. Still Standing - Carrie Prejean

I can't believe this "story" could possibly take up a whole book! I'd love to read Carrie's review of it on Amazon once she's read it.

2. Going Rogue – Sarah Palin

Spoiling her chances at a Republican nomination one act at a time! Keep it up Sarah!

3. It's Your Time – Joel Osteen

Finally, the secret formula for coercing God into blessing us with health and wealth!

4. The Lost Symbol – Dan Brown

Loved this book the first time I read it when it was called Angels and Demons. The second time was pretty good too. I believe it was called The Da Vinci Code then though.

5. How to Make Love Like a Porn Star- Jenna Jameson

I'm pretty sure those that know the realities behind the porn industry, probably wouldn't want to make love like a porn star.

6. Madonna: Sticky and Sweet – Guy Oseary

This has got to be the winner of one of the grossest titles ever.

7. 2012, the Bible, and the End of the World – Mark Hitchcock

When will people learn that Jesus really meant, "NO ONE knows the time or date"? Seems pretty easy to understand.

8. Arguing with Idiots - Glenn Beck

Any book that has a self-acknowledged goal of "shutting the mouth of idiots" won't change anyone's mind (as obvious from the name calling in the title), and only serves to make strong, obnoxious opinions louder should definitely round out any list of this sort.

Read Beck's book and really liked it. Title aside, it made well-reasoned arguments with great support from outside sources. Forgetting the title, what did you think of the book's content?

Hey thanks a lot for taking my amazon wishlist and making it your "worst books of the year" list.
