as a lifetime PC user, i can easily say the Mac is a much better computer for the average user. i have built my last few PCs from the motherboard up and for the most part keep them running incredibly smooth. i have sold computers for aliving, repaired them for money, and designed websites as a second career. all on PCs running windows (well first they were running DOS which windows ran in). i used to dog the Mac like crazy. until i realized it was merely my fear of simplicity and a computer that worked without me having to turn the crank that left me in ignorance. the reality is that anything running any version of windows is one button click away from disaster. i am saving up to purchase a new mac because after almost 20 years of PC use, i have had enough.
dustin... i like you... but it seems like you have a bad case of mac envy... if you don't join us now, you'll join us later... just step over to the other side... come on, now is the accepted time...
A buddy of mine sent this to me a few summers ago, (back when the problems he describes were actually true) and i think that it is his brother or something. not sure. From Texas, though.
and as much as i despise the snottery of macs, i have now come to a beaten down point to admit that they are indeed good machines. as soon as major issues stop being software, i may consider switching, but i enjoy building my pcs from the ground up too much now.
