Today at school, one of my professors was speaking of Stanley Hauerwas and John Howard Yoder, both of whom are Christian pacifists, and have written very influential books in this realm. He was speaking of them in the context of how they engage(d) (or did not engage) with the world of politics.
This was an actual comment by a student whom raised his hand to impress us with this:
"So, are they kind of like the militia?"
Me: Absolutely dumbfounded
Seriously, can I please graduate early?

Yeah, he was a plant from Multnomah, I think.
Or from Eastern Oregon....
So what criteria does Western actually use for acceptance to their graduate programs these days?
