The Mighty Redwoods

Completed another thing on my must-see list today with the giant redwoods of Northern California. We drove through some of the park and then went to the tourist trap Trees of Mystery which is kind of hokey but it was a lot of fun. There were some amazing trees there so we're glad we forked over the 13.50. And then we went in further to Klamath, CA and drove through a giant redwood tree because that what you have to do if you're a tourist here. It's required. Anyway, plenty more pics on my Facebook album if you want to see more.

those big trees are one of the things i really want to see someday (and also share with my kids). it seems like it would be a serious reminder of just how small we are in the scheme of things...

Make sure you see the real Paul Bunyan in North Portland (NoPo) on Interstate Ave. He's across from the "Dancing Bare" in which he has unashamedly been staring at for years.
